AGARTALA, Nov 23 (TIWN): Opposition BJP has called a strike for the first time in Tripura, as a part of protesting against the ongoing journalist killings in state.
Since the morning, BJP has been picketing across the state to make the strike a success. However, a huge response was given by the common men and from shops to vehicles all are in pause.
Ahead of 12 hours strike on tomorrow called by BJP, the state president said, “BJP doesn’t believe in strike-politics. Political strikes have ruined the country, but what happened yesterday it is beyond limits”.
The BJP President has demanded CBI investigation in Sudip Datta Bhaumik’s murder case, slamming the state govt proposed CID investigation as ‘just an eyewash’.
