AGARTALA, Nov 16 (TIWN): The double of Tripura Govt has once again exposed after a letter was leaked from the Education Director office which asks to bring back SSA teachers into works or the 'strike' will be taken 'very seriously'. SSA teachers, who are holding the strike since Nov 13, demanding regularization and 2 more demands, have condemned the draft asking, 'When teachers are protesting in democratic manner, how the state govt can force SSAs ? As reason however, Tripura Govt has shown the cause of 'teacher crisis', whether some teachers told TIWN if SSA's strike is causing teachers crisis, why 10323 teachers are given relaxations since 6 months ? 10323 teachers since 6 months hardly come to teachers and in some schools they do not attend even the assembly and keep seated during national anthem. But with SSA's the state govt is showing Red-eyes if protest is not withdrawn. However, as per the last information the strike has been continued statewide led by the SSAs.
In a letter SSA State Project Director U C Chakma said, "It is imperative that all schools, directors, Inspectorates, BRCs, CRCs, DPC Offices and State Offices of SSA should function normally and all the employees, of SSA and RMSA should perform their duties as usual".
"Any violation of above instruction by any of the employees will be viewed seriously", Chakma further said.
In various forms Tripura Govt is pressuring the SSA teachers to withdraw their strikes, indirectly giving them threats about losing their jobs. Whether CPI-M backed TCGEA teachers have withdrawn the strike, a larger section of teachers are unready to withdraw their work strike.
But a major Section of SSA teachers are not ready to take back pens in hands until they are regularized with more 2 demands. SSA Welfare Association members have urged the SSA teachers to succeed the work strike. The 3 demands of the SSAs are : 1.Regularization, 2.PAB salary 2017/18, 3.ROP 2017/2.25”.
