AGARTALA, Nov 16 (TIWN): No respite from the pathetic condition of Nagerjala-Battala road as PWD Minister Badal Choudhury has clearly said that the Battala-Nagerjala road can’t be fixed unless the Flyover construction is finished.
“It’s not possible that one work is going on at the above and below the road can be repaired. There must be an alternative route for it”, said Choudhury.
However, at West Bengal under Mamata Banerjee’s Chief Ministry the roads are repaired during night hours, but Tripura PWD yet to think on that level.
Battala, Nagerjala, Drop Gate way's complaints are nothing new but state PWD is least bothered to give an official statement about road repairing work's beginning. Most importantly people are becoming sick to travel over there and the pathetic condition of the road can not be understood if never had a ride on those ways.
Battala-Nagerjala road is the worst one among all the roads of the City. Being located on the national highway the route under flyover project work has remained not better than hell-route. Bumping and jumping amid high accident chances have become the fate of the common people here.
