AGARTALA, Nov 12 (TIWN): Tripura Govt's TCS officer recruitment scam since decades led by TPSC has been exposed as a fresh case was filed following a continuous violation of recruitment laws, even after High Court's order. It was in 2016, that High Court cancelled 2 PH posts as TPSC has categorized them as ST-PH and asked TPSC to go for a fresh recruitment of these 2 posts in TCS as PH can be appeared from any category (SC, ST, General). But state govt has been violating the HC's order. Thus a fresh case was filed by Prabir Dutta against Tripura Govt and the next hearing is on Nov 30. It's noteworthy that On 30/04/2016, the state govt had announced to recruit 30 TCS officers comprising 1 seat for ST-PH and another is 1 seat (Total 2) for ST-Low vision, but against the recruitment a case was filed against the state govt with case No-WP (C) 1166 / 2016 by the same petitioner. High Court on that time asked the Govt why PH seats were given to ST, whereas SC / ST / PH / GEN any category can appear for the post ?
In a verdict on 7/ 2/ 2017 High Court issued a stay order in the recruitment and also a letter was given by TPSC to the Chief Secretary (Letter No-10 (1-4) Rectt / TPSC-2016) and GA (P&T)/ 2015 / Date 19.06.2017 telling about the recruitment of PH in proper manner but TPSC Add Secretary R P Dutta said that without advertisement the PH recruitment will be done, which is totally illegal. Moreover there were 2 posts in 2016 but now it has been announced as 1 post (excluding the low visional category)....which are a total violation of recruitment laws.
Question raised by the petitioner Prabir Dutta, "Since 2014 why under TCS recruitment low-vision category is excluding ?"
Thus another case was filed for excluding one PH post in the fresh recruitment. The next hearing is on 30th November.
