TIWN Nov 3, 2017
AGARTALA, Nov 3 (TIWN): In Manik Sarkar ‘Lootery Era’, even High Govt Officials are under trouble as they have been asked to collect the party funds for CPI-M ahead of Election. Tough time for CPI-M in comparisons with other Assembly Elections as many employees with the Anti-Corruption’s Modi-wave have declining to pay to the Melarmath. In this condition, few questions are raising as..... 'The CPI-Ms are actually beggars or robbers' ?? They had been begging funds under TGEA like organization but now they are directly asking the High Govt official to collect fees for CPI-M, which has crossed all the limits of tolerance. However, it was also complained that TGEA per monthsare by-force taking ‘chandas’ from newly joined teachers and in the name of TGEA’s newspaper publication they are also doing same. Whether, the TGEA’s newspapers are published or not but the ‘money’ they will beg.
Recently, TIWN has exposed, how CPI-M MLA Rajendra Reang had asked the SSA teachers to donate Rs. 1500/- per teacher for the election ‘to save their jobs from termination’. Now with a shocking revelation it has been known that a minimum amount of Rs. 3500 (depend on the type of job position) have been asked to collect before the election and the duty has been given to the High Govt Officials this.
Irritated officials are complaining this issue to TIWN.
The person who complained about it to TIWN raised question, “Does the ruling government have the rights to impose such practices or can this be against any part of law of conduct ?” The gravity of the question shows he or she must holding a high office but being a Govt employees just is fed up with the ‘lootery business’ of the ruling Govt.
In July 2016, a similar allegation by various media houses had been raised but it was about a mass looting of Rs. 800 from each govt employees.
Already in the name of Golden Era led by mastermind Manik Sarkar instead of 7th pay commission, Tripura Govt employees are getting salaries equal to 4th pay commission and with this another lootery charge are fueling further resentments.
Recently, SSA teachers who led a 7 day long hunger strike have complained about this issue to TIWN, to lead mass surprise among the common people about the attitude of the ruling party leaders with state govt employees. It was not only a threat about termination, but also Rs. 1000 to Rs. 1500 were asked from primary and upper primary teachers for election purpose. The same allegation about election bribe, was brought by regular state govt employees recently, which was condemned by the opposition party leaders via press conference.
