AGARTALA, Nov 3 (TIWN): The people who do not believe in democracy, who never can tolerate the idea of ‘One Country, One Law’, either it’s Triple Talak or Secular Education in Madrassa, but they know how to use the Democracy when they are living living in India. When other minorities as Buddists, Christians never demanded extra facility in the name of religion except Right to Live, but in Tripura Arabic Educated Forum have come up with strange demands including giving them reservations in every fields. When it comes about India’s religion-talks, lectures on secularism never ends but when talks on empowering the religions are held, radical Islamists stand at the first row. In a deputation placed to the Education Minister Tapan Chakraborty, Tripura Arabic Educated Forum wrote that many times they asked Tapan Chakraborty to fulfill their demands but the Govt here is not bothered to take their demands seriously.

Their demands are :

1. To recruit 105 teachers in Madrassa which are already interviewed,
2. To undertake No-129 SPQM Madrassa under grant-in-aid,
3. To form a Madrassa board in Tripura,
4. Reservation for Muslim minorities in Tripura,
5. To establish in Kamil Madrassa,
6. To declare all the Madrassa as Minority Institution.

All these demands especially No-4 and No-6 are totally invalid as Muslims are not the ‘only’ minorities in India or in Tripura, rather they are living in a larger section than other minorities. Question also raises, why Christians, Buddhists,  Jains never place such demands ? In Hyderabad a protester was locked up when he demanded to remove the Muslim-Reservation and raised question, why reservation will be given on a particular religion basis ?

Where were those secularists when smugglers killed a BSF at border ? They didn’t protest against BSF murder, but they had shown agitation on Rohingiya’s issue.

Will Bangladesh Govt, Pakistan allow Hindus to place such demands ? Even though Bangladesh is a secular country, but who voices against Islamic radicalism, they are abandoned form nation just as Taslima Nasrin.
