AGARTALA, Nov 3 (TIWN): Tripura BJP has written to Union Railway Ministry Piyush Goyal with certain demands.

The demands are :

1.Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya Bahadur, the last king of Tripura is an iconic figure  for the people of the state. It would be a great honour  for the people and their history of a statue of the late Maharaja is erected in front of the Railway Station at Agartala.

2. Astoppage for the Rajdhani at Ambassa and Railway Booking counter at Ambassa station.

3.A daily Guwahati –Agartala Express Train , which would cover the distance at night, would be of great benefit for iconomic growth in the region.

4.On daily Agartala Silchar intercity Express  would connect the two larger Towns in the south of NE Region.

5.The Agartala Silchar fast Passenger to be extended up to Udaipur .

6.The survey for the alternate Railway line from Pecharthal to Agartala via Kamalpur and Khowai has been taken up. It would be a great advantage if the work starts immediately.

7.The Survey work of Dharmanagar to Kailashahar via Pecharthal has been completed; please consider whether  the work can be started for this section.
