Border fencing issue involve clashes at Sonamura  : 5 villagers injured, BSF made open air firing

Agartala, August 16 (TIWN) - Border fencing again created tension at Sonamura. On Saturday morning Border Security Force (BSF) fired in open air.. Clashes also occured between the villagers and BSF which injures 5 villagers. The area remains tensed and silent.

Local police sources informed that on Saturday morning BSF again started their work of fencing in border at Adampur under Sonamura P.S.
But the villagers opposed  them as they had done earlier. Their demand remains same as before. At first BSF tried to interpret them. But a situation occured when both of them got engaged in conversation and
counter conversation with each other and involved in clashes with each other. In order to tackle the situation BSF fired in the open air.
Clashes hurt 5 villagers. All of them were admitted to the hospital. There is a silent atmosphere in the area. Earlier BSF started fencing in the area on Thursday. But that day also the work disrupts due to the opposition of villagers. It is already mentioned that The Union Home Ministry demand report of completion of border fencing in Tripura-Bangladesh Border.
