AGARTALA, Nov 1 (TIWN): In the 3 years of gap, Tripura Govt controlled State Police could not submit all the chargesheets on Bishalgarh RD scam but, the CPI-M Govt has announced via its website named 'Tripura State Portal' that the State Govt has taken strictest possible action against Bimal Chakraborty and other officials related to this particular scam. An FIR was lodged on 19thSeptember, 2014 against ex-BDO Bimal Chakraborty and 11 other officials. Although, Bimal Chakraborty was in custody from 23.10.2014 to 20.04.2015 but had released on bail. The state govt claimed that total 40 charge sheets were filed against 48 persons, out of which 25 are public servants but the action was done by suspension of some of those employees.

Eight officials, including BDO, were suspended and 4 MGNREGA contractual staff were terminated. Question raises, why 'contractual staffs' were only terminated and the mastermind Bimal chakraborty was not ???

With the loose investigation, BDO Bimal Chakraborty will be acquitted for sure, just as Jiten Das in Kalpana murder case. Moreover, after joining in his jobs again, Chakraborty to get all the suspended salaries of the 3 years. The crime done by Bimal Chakraborty was vast and exposed in time but intentionally CPI-M family member Bimal Chakraborty's case has been kept under loose investigation.

Not only this, Tripura Govt in state portal wrote "Shri" Bimal Chakraborty to pay him respect. Need to mention again that Bimal Chakraborty  is brother of Tripura DYFI General Secretary Amal Chakraborty. 

CM Manik Sarkar & former Chief Secretary S.K.Panda’s close TCS officer Bimal Chakraborty was sent to jail for looting Rs 17 crores of MGNREGA money. But Comrade Bimal Chakraborty, who is the prime accused of looting MGNREGA funds of Rs 17 Crore in Bisalgarh RD block, which might even spike upto Rs 44 Crores during his tenure as BDO(Block Development Officer) in Bishalgarh has been figured out by the state govt as at only Rs. 2.20 crores.

After Bimal’s tenure, incubent Bishalgarh BDO Subrata Das lodged FIR against Bimal and 11 others official in the local police station.

However Chief Minister’s blessings saved Bimal and for public show ,Tripura Govt. issued his suspension order but surprisingly, despite his unauthorized

 absent in duty for a month to evade arrest, the Govt did not take any action against erring BDO. After a long time, Bimal accompanied by his defense lawyer surrendered before the court and police demanded 10 days custody. Then passing 3 months in Jail, Bimal Chakraborty’s brother and SFI’s State Secretary Amal Chakraborty managed his bail order easily with the stage-managed police investigation under the supervision of CBI chargesheeted corrupt former DGP K.Nagraj.
