UDAIPUR, Oct 25 (TIWN): District & Sessions Judge, Gomati, District of Udaipur has convicted one accused person namely Bappa Chakraborty(28) S/O Lt. Gobinda Prashad Chakraborty of Bagma Barabhaiya PS R.K Pur, under Gomati District.

On 07-02-2013, R.K Pur PS Case No. 2013RKP043 U/S- 302 IPC, was registered on the basis of Suo-moto complaint of W/SI Madhabi Debbarma of R.K Pur Women PS against the accused namely Bappa Chakraborty to the effect that the accused killed his own mother namely Chaya Chakraborty on 31-01-2013 night by strangulation and then set fire upon the dead body of the victim lady to conceal evidence.   

During investigation on the weight of evidence I.O of the case arrested the accused and forwarded him to the Ld. Court. On completion of investigation considering evidence charge sheet was filed by SI Samir Das, I.O of the case on 31-07-2017, against the accused Bappa Chakraborty. Vide R.K.Pur  PS C/S No. 235/2013 U/S- 302 IPC.

The trial Court on appreciation of evidence found the accused person namely Bappa Chakraborty(28) is guilty U/S 302 IPC and sentenced him to suffer rigorous imprisonment for life and  also to pay fine of Rs-5000/- in default to pay  fine, to suffer simple imprisonment for 02(Two) Months more.
