AGARTALA, Oct 24 (TIWN): Huge crop, vegetable damages were informed at Amarpur subdivision following the 2 day long flood at there.
The farmers alleged that their crops were damages heavily and also the newly seeded areas were collapsed in flood, causing massive losses to the farmers.
Sky has fallen on the farmers as their whole year's crops heavily damaged.
The farmers further alleged about not getting proper compensation after every flood. Panic has gripped the farmers at Amarpur.
The Amarpur subdivision is yet to recover from the flood risks and river Gomati is still threatening the whole area leading transport disruption; disruption in normal lives.
Atleast 300 families had been affected due to flood at Amarpur. Many houses were collapsed with massive losses to agriculture, fisheries.
