AGARTALA, Oct 22 (TIWN): Vehicles have been stranding on the National Highway at the Agartala-Sabroom route in Bishalgrah, queued by above 1000s of vehicles following 1 day’s rain-water-logs. But only big vehicles as trucks and buses are allowed to pass as the water level there is going above atleast 4 feet. Resentment has brewed among the daily goers at there as their offices, schools, market areas all have been badly affected due to the rainwater’s logs. Public are even mocking at the ruling govt saying, “The waves reflects the developmental wave of the Govtâ€. Even though municipality is trying to mark the dangerous situation results of heavy rains, but after 2 day’s rain how can only the town area of Bishalgarh can sink under water for 1 KM long, questions are raising.
The traffic jams from Bisramganj, Charilam, Bishalgarh have turned the lives miserable for the public, especially for the office goers on the working day. On Sunday, reportedly more than 1000 vehicles remained immovable there on the National Highway generated heavy anger on among the travelers.
However, not only at Agartala but the pathetic situation was observed across Agartala and Dharmanagar also the situation is more or less same. But the Bishalgarh and Agartala’s water-logging has been resulted out of the negligence of the municipalities and pathetic management led by the urban development dept.
