AGARTALA, Oct 15 (TIWN): Unending dramas with Tripura journalist Santnau's murder case has been continued in state even though murderers could not be arrested after 25 days of Santanu's brutal killing at Mandai. With a shocking note, CPI-M's tribal wing GMP leaders on Sunday has expressed "Extreme Displeasure" upon Tripura police's role when on Sep-19 (one day ago of Santanu's murder at Mandai) CPI-M party offices were ransacked, vehicles were burnt and around 100 of people were injured. The GMPs held a press meet led by MP Jiten Chowdhury, Radhacharan Debbarma and they blamed IPFT cadres fully for behind Sep-19's violence and Santanu's murder even though at the investigation level state police could not progress under the Left Front Govt.

In the press release GMP said, "On Sep-19, when GMP conducted a massive rally, which had gathered around 50,000 people at Agartala's Astabol Stadium, IPFT cadres had injured GMPs in various spots of Khowai as Mohonpur, Jirania, Jampuijala".

"Around 60 vehicles were burnt and in front various police officials CPI-M party offices were burnt", the press release added.

The GMPs also demanded that the police who were involved in negligence of duty must be identified. An inquiry committee should be set for it who were involved in Sep-19's violence.  But there was not call from GMP for proper investigation, action against police's negligence on Sep-20 (When Santanu was murdered).

Since Santanu's murder journalists of Tripura were demanding constantly for the suspension of the police officials as during Section-144, under broad day light   Santanu was murdered. Moreover, till day only 3 persons were arrested but no more progress, whereas police's chargesheet says that around 10 to 15 people were involved in his murder.

Most surprisingly, when CPI-M is ruling the state, why CPI-M is begging action against police ? Why action has not been taken yet ? Why the press meet was called 25 days after clash of Sep-19 ? Doesn't it prove CPI-M Govt's failure in controlling law & order ?

CPI-M has suspected on police's neutral role and asked for inquiry committee's creation to find out police officials who had shown negligence on Sep-19. But if this is the level of trust for Tripura Police among CPI-Ms then why others should trust on the same police led SIT for unbiased investigation Santanu murder case ?

Chief Minister Manik Sarkar was requested by journalists, Santanu's father, even oppositions multiple times for CBI probe in Santanu murder case but from CM to his cabinet Ministers and CPI-M supporters all said that SIT will do justice with Santanu murder case. But what will the CM say after Gana Mukti Parishad and CPI-M MP Jiten Chowdhury said, "Tripura Police's role is suspicious".
