AGARTALA, Oct 12 (TIWN): Increasing attacks upon Tripura journalists are fueling resentments among the media persons, common people.

On Wednesday, at morning 11 when Rakesh Saha (also a member of Tripura Journalist forum) went to collect news at 'Kabi Sukanta School' he was attacked at there by a local youth Ramesh Das which left seriously injured. 

Immediately, Rakesh Saha was hospitalized.

Getting informed media persons rushed to  meet Rakesh and later 35 journalists visited Srinanagar PS and talked to the police regarding the culprits immediate arrest.

Journalists had timebounded police with 12 hours arrest the culprit but within an hour the attacker Ramesh Das was arrested.

Such increasing attacks upon journalists have irked resentment among the state media persons. Tripura journalist forum and media persons have condemned the incident.
