AGARTALA, Oct 10 (TIWN): Manik Sarkar’s 24 years Communist rule facing acid test as one after another slaps by High Court, Supreme Court hitting CPI-M’s mass acceptance as ruling party. When 10323 recruitment scam’s exposure have turned as major jolt for CPI-M, now Tripura Govt Employees Federation to go for 1 month long protest against the State Govt demanding 7th pay commission. Addressing a press meet Tripura Government Employees Federation Chief Samar Roy said, “Due to State Govt’s depriving attitude to its workers, teachers, pensioners are the highest sufferers. In 2007 instead of Pay Commission, Tripura Govt launched a pay review committee resulting more deprivations. In the running year also the Left Front Govt following its traditional deprivation attitudes has fooled the employees with 2.25 FF".

Eventhough in the calculation as high amount of salary-increasing was highlighted but in reality there was no match of the actually claimed. However with all these the Govt employees from October month to November will organize various protest programmes across the state against the ongoing deprivation.

Along with that 7^th Pay Commission’s demand will be placed. “Instead of fooling the employees, why the state govt is not implementing 7^thpay commission”, said Samar Roy.

 The 7th pay commission's demand is all in all for Tripura Govt Employees right now, fueled by Opposition BJP's promise to implement 7th Pay Commission if the Govt comes in power.

 Another group of employees formed by teachers named 'Tripura Govt Employees Association' are also in same demand.

 The teachers  said, "The poor salary given to the employees here, amidst multiple demands is nothing but a major insult to them. The deprivation is highly intolerable and shame for the left front Govt".

However, whereas CPI-M state Secretary Goutam Das on May-8 claimed that Tripura has no beggar, but BJP leader Subal Bhowmik counter attacking Das's claim said, "We all are beggars in CPI-M regime. Employees are begging, unemployed are begging, farmers are begging pesticides, seeds ! So Tripura has 36 lakhs of beggar already".

The employees federation further placed 11 points of demands :

1. The Pay and Pension revision committee should be abolished,

2. 7th pay commission must be implemented soon,

3. DA gap should be abolished,

4. Instead of EPF, the Govt undertaken organization's employees should be facilitated with pensions like state govt employees who joined after 1995,

5. Teachers must be provided with Central Govt teachers' equal salary and other facilities,

6. All Teachers should be given Central level salary,

7. The transfer system must be more transparent and appropriate with the posts,

8. Irregular, fixed employees should be regularized,

9. From 2016 to 2018 the employees who went in retirement, they should be brought under modified pension rules and the gap should be filled up,

10. The Sports Teachers and other qualified teachers must be given salaries as per their qualifications,

11. The workers working in Govt undertaken projects, they should be given salaries, DAs from extra funds.
