Protest hits Amarpur against Priyanka Reang's unnatural death : Bru Sangrama Social Organization demands justice for Priyanka, public demand intensifies for CBI in Santanu murder

AMARPUR, Oct 6 (TIWN): Thousands of Reang community's people hit Amarpur road on Friday demanding proper investigation in 16 years girl Priyanka Reang's unnatural death at Bisramganj way. Priyanka Reang 16 years girl, student of Harianada School was residing at Udaipur for her study purpose, but on Saptami night the innocent girl met her tragic death which has shocked the state. Priyanka Reang, the youngest daughter of Laxman Ch. Reang was actual resident of Takma cherra, Birchandramanu who met an accident on Sapami night while traveling with Akash Debnath at Udaipur-Bisramganj route. The accident led Akash also to be admitted in GB Hospital---(at the primary level it was the information). But soon after her death, severe injuries were recovered from her body led the death to be considered as unnatural. Her family members claimed that she was murdered after gang rape. Protesting against her unnatural death, thousands of people had hit Amarpur road.

The rally started from Chandibari's corner and via Amarpur stand it ended at Chandibari field. Reang leaders also condemned the unnatural death of Priyanka Reang, while delivering speeches at Chandibari field.

Bru Sangrama Social Organization raised 3 points :

1. Justice to Priyanka Reang,

2. Protesters condemned the brutal killing of Priyanka Reang,

3. Demanded criminal's punishment through proper justice.

While addressing the gathering the agitators said, "We demand proper investigation and fair post-mortem report of her death".

Noteworthy, Priyanka Reang's death was considered as normal at first, but as soon her family members saw her body they couldn't accept that her death was natural.  The family members now are also unready to believe Priyanka died in accident.

The Reang protesters also to place a deputation to the Governor Tathagata Roy demanding justice for Priyanka.

At the same time, the protesters also condemned the brutal murder of young journalist Santanu Bhowmik, who was killed on Sep 20 at Mandai in CPI-M and IPFT clash.

The increasing chronological deaths of young innocent people ahead of Assembly Election have shocked the hilly state and the peace has been fully disrupted during the festive season.
