AGARTALA, Oct 6 (TIWN): State Govt run Jute Mill Employees to go for massive protest from Oct-9, protesting against their long pending wages of the employees working here and the pensioners. Jute Mill employees and pensioners had been demanding their pending wages, unclear DAs since many years but the deaf attitude of the Left Front Govt led the employees to file a case against the Govt in the High Court. Tripura Govt run Jute Mill factory business at Amtali, was declined due to extreme interference by CPI-M and its trade union CITU's party campaigning inside the factory. Since the establishment the factory it had turned almost a party office of CITU led the present deplorable condition of Tripura Jute Mill industry.

However, the other employees, pensioners didn't voice for their wages, whereas a section of high officials filed a case in Tripura High Court in 2016. Then it was ordered by High Court to fill up the Gap between central and state govt employees of Jute Mill Industry. Manik Sarkar led CPI-M Govt counterattacking HC's verdict had appealed in Supreme but SC directly denied to give any stay order to the HC's order and asked Tripura Govt to pay the full wages. But it had created resentment among the other people working in Jute Mill, who didn't file case against state govt. As no case was filed by the lower rank workers, so the SC and HC ordered juts to hike the officer level employees and pensioners salaries.

It has been long 1 year that Tripura Govt is not paying the unpaid wages to the employees and pensioner even after Supreme Court's verdict. Thus, issuing this long deprivation, the employees and pensioners will finally go for enmass protest from Oct-9. In this regard a protest was held at Hapania's Jute Mill factory on Tuesday.

The strike may hit the left front govt ahead of the Assembly poll-2018 as the agitators claimed for not withdrawing the strike till their pending wages are cleared and govt hike their salaries as per the Supreme Court’s order. After 1 year of Supreme Court's order Tripura Govt is showing no interest to clear the pending wages. In this regard, the employees may also file a case against Tripura Govt for offending the Court's verdict, if it delays any more to pay their salaries. According to Jute Mill employees, "it’s only possible for Tripura Govt to ignore Supreme Court’s verdict which has been occupied the ruling position since 24 yrs constantly in a state".

With a surprise when challenging HC’s order had become already a trend of Tripura Govt, it has developed quality to unfollow Supreme Court’s orders too—the Jute mill case is an example of this.

It shows how CPI-M Govt is much capable to run its nepotism even against the Highest Court’s order.Jute Mill which was destroyed due to too much party's interference, had been collapsed from the root; but a section of officers filed a case in High Court against their irregular salaries, low pay scales.

High Court's verdict was in support of those Jute Mill employees and High Court asked state govt to provide those officers their pending wages like other state govt employees.

Challenging HC’s order Tripura Govt knocked the door of Supreme Court but also same face loss was received by Tripura Govt there. After that Jute Mill Officers held a press meet and told media about their historical winning. But Manik Govt till day has not provided them their deserved salaries.

However, when the officers are not getting their deserve wages, the other CPI-M backed employees are demanding state govt level salaries and Tripura Govt said it is still thinking about 'what to do...'. But one year of the verdict at SC, Tripura Govt has no desire to give the salary of the officers.
