AGARTALA, Oct 5 (TIWN): Arrested Balendra Debbarma, one of the accused persons in vehicle driver Jiban Debnath's missing case has sent for 5 days police remand on Thursday. He was arrested on Wednesday at Radhapur and brought to Agartala today. After inquiry, Debbarma was produced before the court by state police today. However, Court has sent him for 5 days police remand. As per Radhapur Police station's information one Barendra Debbarma was arrested regarding Sep-20's Khumlwng vehicle burning incident yesterday. Massive reactions came after the arrest of Balendra Debbarma as local had been gheraoed Radhapur Police Station immediately after his arrest. Section-144 has been implemented at Radhapur area.

On the other side, searching for On the other side, Jiban Debnath's dead body led by Tripura Police is going on since yesterday night at Khumlwng after they arrested Balendra Debbarma, who said that he heard Jiban Debnath was murdered and graved inside the soil at Khumlwng jungle. The arrest was held after opposition's pressure and Jiban Debnath's mother's deputation placed to DGP A K Sukla.

With dozer and dogsquade and some locals the searches are going on across Khumlwng.

The arrested Balendra Debbarma by Radhapur police from Kobra Bari area has said  that although he was not present during Jiban Debnath's kidnapping, but he has heard that on Sep-20 Jiban Debnath was killed at Khumlwng by some tribals. 

Whether the other two passengers could escape from the spot but Jiban Debnath could not escape and he was stretched from the vehicle and taken to a jungle.

After killing Jiban Debnath at there, his body was dumped inside the soil of that forest (as per Balendra Debbarma's accusition). However, police is now searching for Jiban  Debnath's dead body. Section-144 has remained active at Khumlwng. 

The violence was followed after various clashes among CPI-M backed GMP and IPFT.  

Question raises, why police were silent till day and how within a day they could arrest the exact accused. Doesn't it mean that police knew everything but was silent till day ?  On the other side, Journalist Santanu Bhowmik's murder and CPI-M Govt's rejection of CBI probe further raising many questions.
