AGARTALA, Oct 2 (TIWN): Accepting a clash among IPFT and CPI-M emerged on Sep-20 that killed journalist Santanu Bhowmik, IPFT has demanded CBI probe in Santanu murder case.
IPFT president Narendra Chandra Debbarma said, "We have condemned the cruel murder of Santanu but it seems as if by consensus every party and individual is blaming the IPFT for it without a shred of proof or evidence. So, we demand a CBI inquiry."
However, earlier BJP also had demanded CBI inquiry in Santanu murder case but only CPI-M never shown agitation demanding CBI investigation by simply dumping all blames upon IPFT, whereas both CPI-M and IPFT were involved in this murder.
Tripura's young journalist Santanu Bhowmik was killed in a clash led by IPFT and CPI-M onSep-20. Resident of Jirania, the young journalist was associated with various electronic media who has been killed while covering IPFT and CPI-M clash at Mandai.
The barbaric murder has taken place on Wednesday afternoon when after getting informed about an ongoing tension on that hilly zone, Santanu rushed to Mandai to cover the incident. But, while covering the event suddenly an attack was held upon him with sharp weapons (Da) and continuously the attackers were injuring him.
However, CPI-M has claimed the murderers were none other than but IPFT activists.
