AGARTALA, Sep 28 (TIWN): Anjali offering was held on Maha Ashtami across various puja pandals of Tripura and all Durga temples.

The Ashtami puja began since 9 AM, whereas Anjali was offered since 10 AM in almost all the pandals.

People in traditional Bengali attires joined with neighbors in Durga puja pandals.

Since early morning, people have been thronging colossal puja pandals (marquees) where idols of the goddess and her four children are being worshipped amid much community fanfare.

.Amidst huge enthusiasm and devotion, on the auspicious day of Maha-Astami, devotees observe rigorous fast and worship Goddess Durga and offered prayers at Durga Bari temples all over the state.
