AGARTALA, Sep 21 (TIWN): Though the Assembly Poll date is to be announced by the Election Commission of India , Tripura seems to have become a den of political violence . Day by day the situation is being worsened and there is no denying of the fact that administration and the stategovt are clear failure to combat such political violence . Indeed , during the last one year or so that state govt seems to have given license to the IPFT goons to create violence causing disturbances to normal life of the common people . As a result of it a young journalist namely Shantanu Bhowmik was alleged to be brutally murdered by the IPFT goons and a young official of the state Forest Department was seriously injured .

Latest report confirms that the officials has been referred to G B Hospital with critical injuries . It is matter of regret that due to the utter failure of the police administration IPFT youths led by N C Debbarma seem to have got the license to be violent at their will .

What is worrying is that within a few months the Assembly Poll of Tripura is scheduled to be held . And much before this violence in Tripura has taken a new turn . Already as many as five people were killed in political violence occurred in different parts of the state . First the violence started between CPI-M and BJP and now IPFT workers too are in clash with the CPIM . Frankly speaking CPIM ruled Tripura has always been in headlines for political violence , in most of the cases , victims have been the opposition party workers , leaders and supporters . Since 1993  so many opposition party workers were exploited by the ruling CPIM- physically , mentally and economically .

However, CPIM seems to have been losing its ground in the strong tribal belt . Rise of IPFT and subsequently BJPs growing influence have sent to CPIM to back foot . And now the traditional supremacy of CPIM among the tribals are now under question mark. For CPIM it is a worrying sign . Though Manik Sarkar is preaching everywhere and CPIM party too is projecting him as an Honest and popular CM(জনপ্রিয়মূখ্যমণ্ত্রী) the party knows it categorically that if CPIM fails to win 14/15 seats out of 20 seats reserved for the ST , the chances of CPIM coming to power will be very bleak .

Meanwhile , in spite of the ruthless murder of a young journalist a section of media persons are still acting in such a way as if to protecting the interests of CPIM party speaking in the same line with the CPIM party . Thus , question arise whether the brutal murder of the young journalist will go in vain .
