Agartala, August 11 (TIWN): Land dispute lead mother to kill her own married daughter.

Incident occurred on Monday evening at around 5:30 Pm at Khoyerpur Tinnath area. Police arrested the accused mother Sabitri Das. Few years of their marriage Sumitra’s mother Sabitri helped her to get a land at Champamura and support their livelihood.

But mother Sabitri’s another elder daughter Sandhya Das later demanded for the land to be a part of her. -following which elder daughter Sumitra denied to mark the part of the land on Sandhya’s name. However later again when Sumitra denied this - her mother Sabitri Das started torturing her brutally, and as part of this on Monday she brought her daughter Sumitra from Champaknagar and killed her on her own house at Khoyerpur Tinnath area.
According to the localites mother Sabitri Das attacked her own married daughter Sumitra Das with a sharp cutter into pieces and kept the body into sack, and later left the sack under the bed.
However later police getting information rushed to the spot and arrested the accused mother Sabitri
Das from her own house, and sent the dead body of Sumitra Das for the post-mortem. Police is investigating the case.
