AGARTALA, Sep 17 (TIWN): Alongwith rest of the nation the Viswakarma Puja is being celebrated across the state.

Local shops, labourer and drivers syndicate wings of different political parties, local shops (specially the hardware and iron manufacturing units), clubs, NGOs and people in their homes are worshiping god Viswakarma who is considered to be the presiding deity of all craftsmen and architects. The Vishwakarma Puja is celebrated in all parts of India, especially in Bihar, Assam, Odisha, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Dehradun and Manipur. With the advent of Viswakarma Puja, the joyous air of Bangalis grand festival Durga Puja seems to knock the door and the mood of festivity is swelling in the air.
As a mark of reverence, he is not only worshiped by the engineering and architectural community but also by all professionals. It is customary for craftsmen to worship their tools in his name.

Though a ritual is must be followed, by any means but the soaring prices of all the essential amenities for performing a Puja, is gradually going beyond the affordability of the common men. Especially the prices of fruits in the major markets of Agartala seem to hurt the pocket of the common masses as worst as it can. Nevertheless, the zealous Bangalis are in no mood to make a compromise, in this regard and doing everything to offer their devotion to the god Biswakarma for obtaining his blessings and grace.

The entire team of TIWN wishes all its readers, followers and well wishers, across the world, a prosperous and happy Viswakarma Puja.
