AGARTALA, Sep 16 (TIWN): Union Minister for Statistics and Programme Implementation Devaragunda Venkappa Sadananda Gowda has expressed his concerns about proper utilization of Central funds under Tripura Education Dept.

"There were total sanctioned 11 projects. The 11ongoing infrastructure projects Worth Rs 4400.64 crores and the anticipated completion cost is 9067. 42 crores implying a cost of overrun of Rs. 4666.78 crores", said the Minister.

The Minister only has expressed his concerns but has also asked the Govt Officials to complete the work within the deadlines.

Govt schools in Tripura are in deplorable shapes. From poisonous mid-day-meal to lack of basic infrastructure in every school, the students are the highest sufferer in Tripura Govt. schools.

From recruitment scam to teachers salaries, all corruptions have been done under state Education Dept although Education Minister Tapan Chakraborty has assured all incomplete works to be completed in time bound.
