Anganwadi workers demand Rs. 18,000 salaries per month

AGARTALA, Sep 7 (TIWN): Anganwadi workers in a protest have demanded at least Rs. 18,000 salaries per month and for helpers Rs. 12,000 salaries per month.
‘The workers must be announced soon as Anganwadi staffs and like regular employees benefits should be provided’, the workers said in their demand.
The Anganwadi workers also demanded 100 % filling up of the Supervisor posts and the reappointment of retired supervisors demanded to be stopped.
One person from the Anganwadi pension holders family must be appointed as Anganwadi workers etc.
