AGARTALA, Sep 4 (TIWN): West police is taking action with 'attempt to murder' case under Indian Penal Code 307 against the violent IPFT cadres. IPFT not only assaulted the police official of DSP Tarun Debbarma but also left him seriously injured.

 However, IPFT held a rally protesting against the case and claimed it a false case. "Withdraw the false case against IPFTs", that was the voice of the rally.

After visiting DSP Tarun Debbarma, addressing media SP Abhijit Saptarshi said, “Today IPFT had a massive rally at khumlwng. Almost for the whole day the rally was completed peacefully, whereas during dipersal nearby there is a CRPF stadium, where some youths who were very rude and very indisciplined injured our DSP Tarun Debbarma. The duty officer was seriously assaulted, injured”.

 “Tarun Debbarma has received head injuries and body injuries together. We want to specifically mnetion it was attempt to murder. But this is toatlly an unfortunate incident”, said the SP West. “Since morning police personnel were deployed. They didn’t eat rice even in the morning and doing duty under sun and rain. So, it’s not tolerable that IPFT leader will attack them like that”, said Saptarshi.

“I told their leaders after that incident that please see how your supporters are behaving. Such kind of indiscipled and criminal activity we will not tolerate. So, now investigation will go on. Here from DGP to all high officials are present”, said SP.
