AGARTALA, Sep 3 (TIWN): Whereas Tripura has topped in unemployment rates, CPI-M spokesperson Goutam Das said ‘8 lakhs unemployed youths are nothing as there are total 22 crores of unemployed youths across the nation’.
Whereas Tripura’s population is 36 lakhs only, Das was much confident about the unemployment rate in Tripura.
‘Narendra Modi promised to give 2 crores of jobs per year that means 10 crores in 5 years. What about that ? Due to demonetization how many people lost jobs, can Modi answer ?’, said Das.
Noteworthy, Tripura gets a global recognition, as Wikipedia has topped the state through labour commission's data in unemployment rate.
Sikkim is second with 181, whereas Kerala is 125. Himachal Pradesh is 4th with 106, Goa 96, Arunachal Pradesh 89 as 5th. Gujrat has shined only with 10, where out of 1000 at least 990 people are employed.
However, the Chief Minister has said, this is a national issue whereas CPI-M state secretary Bijan Dhar said, "So So what if we have only 8 lakhs of unemployed youths among 22 crores in whole India?"
