AGARTALA, Sep 2 (TIWN): In the name of girls’ safety, almost all the Engineering Colleges close Girls’ Hostel doors within 5 PM or hardly 6 PM. NIT Agartala new Director Ajoy Kr Roy has voiced against it and asked ‘if necessary protect girls with police’.

‘If boys are allowed to research in the campus, study in the library till late night, why not girls ? Generally girls are good. Fom fighting to all bad activities in maximum cases boys are involved’, said the Director.

Roy further asked the NIT faculties to find out a solution so that girls can study atleast till 10 PM in the College campus, sit in the library.
