AGARTALA / SONAMURA, Aug 31 (TIWN): A fresh report from Sonamura subdivision ahead of Eid says that this year BSF are peacefully working on borders without much hurdles faced from the local smugglers. The alerts that are going on under Modi Era against the illegal smuggling of cattle have brought some good effects amid massive criticisms from the oppositions. Report from Sonamura says that this year smuggling racket has been downed heavily and also it has eased the cattle prices in local markets. Even the Muslim customers expressed satisfaction with the down of cattle prices due to smuggling deductions. However, BSF has increased vigilance at the Indo-Bangla border keeping no chances for the smugglers.

On the other side Congress and CPI-M have strictly opposed the Go-Raksha move. In a press conference PCC Chief Birjit Sinha said, “BJP in the name of Go-Raksha is killing the business of people ahead of Eid. The celebration may be spoiled due to the Go-Raksha move led by the BJPs”.Sinha also cites example of cattle nabbed by police in the help of BJP at Kailashahar recently, whereas the cattles were brought from one market to another with money receipts.

However, the Congress leader should learn what is Go-raksha. It has nothing to do with liscenced business but without liscence nobody can sell cows anywhere  like this and the Kailashahar incident was fully linked with smuggling business, eventhough Sinha didn’t mention this.

Moreover, as he said business will be down but it has brought tremendous happiness for the poor, common customers who are buying cattle at low price now at various markets of Tripura.

Many times Hindu farmers' cattle are taken away that causes huge damages to them, but alas that time the Congress also CPI-M has no problem.

Ofcourse Go-Raksha is related to Hindu religion’s sentiment and if the Go-raksha is followed by both Hindus and Muslims to battle  against illegal smuggling what harm is there ? Is religion is  to hurt each other, religion is for fighting ? At Sonamura due to Go-Raksha smugglers’ business have been downed and this is a good sign for GDP growth also.

Eid al-Adha, also called the "Sacrifice Feast", is the second of two Muslim holidays celebrated worldwide each year is on Friday.
