AGARTALA, Aug 24 (TIWN): On Wednesday and Thursday on specific intelligence input, troops of BSF seized various goods valuing Rs. 13,46,475/- from the Indo-Bangladesh Border in different drives.
Patrolling party led by SI(G) Indraj Singh alongwith 01 Other of BOP Kullubari, 145 Bn BSF, seized one (01) Motor Cycle (Yamaha R-15) worth Rs. 1,25,000/-. The seized motor cycle further handed over to PS- Sonamura.
Troops of BOP Harbatoli, 31 Bn BSF seized 11 Nos Cattle heads worth Rs. 1,05,200/-. The seized cattle were handed over to Customs Sabroom.
In another operation led by SI Niyamat Khan along with troops of BOP Srimantapur, 145 Bn BSF seized 1278 Packets of Crackers worth Rs.2,32,200/- in unfenced area of the BOP. The seized crackers have been depositedwith Customs Sonamura.
In an operation jointly carried out by BSF and Police, comprising of A S Sindhu, AC and SI Rajiv Chaudhary along with troops of BSF and Policefrom BOP Dimatoli, 86 Bn BSF and PS-Rangamura1806 Nos of Medicine worth Rs.1,94,050/- near Dimatoli seized.
Crackers of worth Rs.6,90,025/- (2410 Nos) were also seized by the troops of BOP Nalua, 31 Bn BSF on intervening night of 23rd and 24th Aug, 2017.
