AGARTALA / KHUMLWNG / AMARPUR, Aug 23 (TIWN): Huge numbers of police personnel are in action on Wednesday across the state as IPFT's rally is at Khuwmlwng in demand of a separate Tipraland.
Since the morning huge number of young participants were seen going to join the rally at Khumlwng. But many youths were seen sitting on the roof of the vehicles, amid high speed.
A Amarpur, Udaipur, South and North Tripura--- all over the state CRPF, police were seen in maintaining the tight patrolling.
At Agartala Krishna Nagar area has kept under heavy security.
IPFT was to conduct the rally on Agust-23 at Agartala, but following IPFT's 10 day long blockade at National Highway and last year 2016's clashes among the Tribal and Bengalis have led the administration not to permit for IPFT's rally on 2017's same day.
Addressing a press meet at Press Club, IPFT Chief NC Debbarma said, "As we have been not permitted to hold the rally at Agartala, so we will do it in Khumlwng but there will be no lack of interest among the participants". NC Debbarma further said, "Only in case of IPFT rules come".
However, taking no risks a huge number of police is already in action to cut the cpaital city from every dangers.
