AGARTALA, Aug 20 (TIWN): Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar has laid the foundation stone of International Cricket Stadium at Narshingarh on Sunday.

Sports Minister Sahid Chowdhury also remained present on that occasion.

After a long wait, Tripura will get a cricket stadium of international standard. The Tripura Cricket Association has selected the ground of Tripura Institute of Technology (TIT) to set up the stadium.

Earlier, an amount of Rs. 152 crore has been estimated for the construction of the stadium at 14 acres of land.

Presently there are two more stadium in Agartala Maharaja Bir Bikram Stadium and Dasharath Deb Stadium.
