AGARTALA / BISHALGARH, Aug 20 (TIWN): A housewife was brutally tortured by her husband at Madhupur under Bishalgarh. Locals said that husband Priyolal Debnath has injured her with a knife led her critical.

However, locals rushed her to Bishalgrah hospital but seeing her serious condition serious the Bishalgrah hospital doctors sent her at GB.

The victim has been identified as Jotsna Debnath.

The incident took place in the morning, when Jotsna Debnath was making tea. Suddenly her husband came from the back and started to hit her with a knife.

Anyhow she ran to the neighbour but Priyolal Debnath was running after her.

Atlast, the locals caught him and handed over to police.
