AGARTALA, Aug 19 (TIWN): BJP has condemned CPI-M’s slogans, protests terming them as ‘chaos’ over an impossible issue, just to ‘make-an-issue’ ahead of Election.

“Independence Day is  a very significant day for us. After many sacrifices of our freedom fighters we got the freedom. Thus there should not be any lapses to honour the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for this day”, Asish Saha said on Saturday’s press meet.

‘The whole country on that day was celebrating with full enthusiasm and from PM to states’ CMs, officials talked for unity, development, growth and prosperity. But when our CM delivered his speech he was not talking as a CM but his voice was fully political’, said Saha.

‘When his speech was censored then a chaos had been created intentionally raising question over federalism. If closely examined the speech sent for broadcasting was nothing but an intrigue to spread poison in the name of I-Day speech.  CPI-M knew Manik Sarkar's speech will not be broadcasted and thus they have been successful to make an issue out of it”, said Saha.

‘Manik Sarkar's speech was to generate hatred among religions and to create tension with Go-Raksha’, said Saha.

‘This is nothing but making an issues ahead of Election. Prasar Bharati is an independent broadcasting agency. No political party has authority over it’, Saha added slamming the CM further for his anti-nationalist remarks on I-Day.
