AGARTALA, Aug 18 (TIWN): Amid high controversies, UP Chief Minister Adityanath Yogi is to take strong steps against the ‘noise pollution’ in the name of religion that has not left the Hindu temples. However, recently Sitram Yechury in his press conference has referred the UP CM raising questions why Adityanath Yogi permitted Janmastami to celebrate in police stations ? As another major step against religious hypocrisy Adityanath has called for a ban to the loud speakers during 'Bhajans' in temple premises. With a clear note it is to be dictated that sounds of prayers should not hit outside the temple at all. However, he also mentioned that if in religion places', marriage houses loudspeakers are allowed to play then how they can stop the Tirth-Yatra's (Kanuaray's) loudspeakers ??

But claimed for being a leader of secular party, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar never attempted to take step against the noise pollution even if it goes after night 11 PM. Also the CM has been muted over the goat sacrifices issues in various temples. Where his communism goes then ?

After all when it come for celebration, rules fail to control the tortures done by the majority. As patients, old people belong to the minority, the noise pollution is a non-issue here. During Durga Puja, Diwali noise pollution goes extreme level, but now marriage ceremonies have turned haunting issues for the local people.

There is no action taken against high sound boxes during day or after night 12 also. The most sufferers are the old people, little babies.

According to the Noise Pollution (Regulation and Control) Rules, 2000, as amended in 2012, the noise level at market places between 6am to 10pm should be below 65 dB. However, a relaxation of 10 dB is also given under rule 5(4) of the same taking the upper limit to 75 dB for special occasions. Loudspeakers are not allowed after 10pm.

But question arises, who cares for all those rules? Who cares for if there is really some old people getting highly effected by loud noise?
