AGARTALA, Aug 15 (TIWN): On India's Independence Day, Tripura's communist Chief Minister failed once again to honor this national day of patriotism by venting out his frustrations, false allegations of Central deprivation, Hindu-Muslim clash related talks even though it was the 71st independence day of the nation. Whereas Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called nation to build New India with hard work and dedication but there was hardly any sign of positive talks in Tripura Chief Minister's speech. While addressing on the 71st independence day at Agartala Assam Rifles ground, Manik Sarkar said, "In our constitution it has been clearly written that what religion will be one's identity it's fully upto the person. Nobody has right to disturb one's religion but today it has been seen that only one religion is given importance. They are with their narrow religious mentality are targeting the minority, killing other religion's people. If we can not stop the aggressiveness, then there is no meaning of celebrating Independence day".
"If we review the Haal-Hakitat of our nation we will see only corporate sectors existence are there, whereas poverty is increasing at the free space", said CM.
"India got independence 70 years ago. Indians got political freedom, but they have not got economic independence yet but over 70 lakh workers had been retrenched in one year in the country and over 1.35 crore youths were jobless despite having professional degrees in medicine, engineering, management and other fields", said CM.
This is somewhere makes the Modi Govt and Communist leaders different, who again failed to keep independence day out of politics.
On the other side, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday while addressing at Red Fort said, "No more be tied up with Chalta Hai kind of attitude. Make a new India. Today our nation is honoured by the rest of the world and thus take a challenge to make our dream-nation to be formed by 2022". PM has also called Indians to add nationalism with all professions to upgrade India. Prime Minister also stressed upon the 5 years challenges that the Govt of India is determined to do, calling the young generation to come forward.
“The youths who born in 21st century, you have got the opportunity to shape India. On behalf of India, you all are invited to make your own country”, said Modi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also urged the nation, especially the youth, to adopt the digital platform for their money transactions. "World's largest population of youth is in India... This is the age of Information Technology. So we should move ahead in the direction of digital transactions," Modi said addressing the nation on the occasion of the 70th Independence Day.
