AGARTALA, Aug 14 (TIWN): The death toll has increased at four on the fourth day of the flood. At Khayerur a woman named Anamika Sarma, W/O-Rajbihari Sarma resident of Ranir Bazar was flown with river water on Sunday evening but even after complaints, no troop came to recover her. On Monday afternoon her body was floated with river water of Howarh. This incident has created much panic among the locals at there. On 4rth day total 4 people all together have died but state govt led Disaster management with is 16 boats are unable to hold successful rescue operations. Whereas Assam Govt has called emergency since the beginning but Manik Sarkar led Tripura Govt has no intention to call for it. Moreover, when 4 deaths have been reported by media Tripura, Disaster Management has announced only one-death officially.
Manik Sarkar in his speech on Monday said that all parties, unions, common men come to save the state.
But question is why delay in the emergency ? 4 deaths are not enough ??
At Madhyapara, Ward No. 41, one Sneha Dey (11) D/O-Tarun Dey was found dead on Sunday, before that a 15 years boy was electrocuted to death. On Sunday afternoon A 22 years boy named Prakash Sarkar has been flown with high waved flood water on Sunday evening. Prakash Sarkar (22) resident of Ranir Barar's Bridhhanagar went to catch fishes from there but suddenly he was flown with the flood water. A 15 years boy was electrocuted to death on the first day.
Total four persons were badly injured Namita Sarkar injured due to mud wall collapse at South Madhupur admitted at GB Hospital & (ii) One injured at Laxmibill. One Bargo Bijoy Jamatia (55) of Sabaria Bazar injured due to falling of a tree and hospitalized at Kherenbar hospital. 15 nos electric poles damaged at Takarjala increasing dangers on roads.
