UDAIPUR, Aug 6 (TIWN): LD. District & Sessions Judge, Gomati Tripura Udaipur, has convicted 01 (One) accused person namely Sri Deb Bikram Jamatia S/O Sri Krishna Kripa Jamatia of Haticharra Maharani PS R.K.Pur, under Gomati District U/S 135 Electricity Act-2003.

R.K.Pur PS Case No. 2015RKP082 U/S- 379IPC & 135 of Indian Electricity Act- 2003, was registered on the basis of written complaint of Er Sasnkar Majumder Electrical Sub-division Maharani Udaipur PS R.K.Pur under Gomati District for causing theft in respect of drawing power illegally by means of hook line/electric Heater/Tempering of energy meter etc. on 22-05-2017 at about 1630 hrs.

After investigation charge sheet was filed by the I/O SI Parimal Roy of R.K.Pur PS on 23-06-2015, against the accused namely Sri Deb Bikram Jamatia S/O Sri Krishna Kripa Jamatia of Haticharra Maharani PS R.K.Pur, under Gomati District vide R.K.Pur PS C/S No. 66/2015 U/S- 379IPC & 135 of Indian Electricity Act- 2003

The trial Court on appreciation of evidence found the accused person namely Sri Deb Bikram Jamatia  is guilty U/S 135 Electricity Act and sentenced him to pay a fine of Rs.- 10,000/- In default to pay to suffer rigorous imprisonment for 02 (Two) months for the commission of offence punishable U/S-135 Electricity.
