BELONIA/ AGARTALA, July 27 (TIWN): With a vision to 'Green Tripura', Vanamahotsava programme has been organized by South Tripura District Police in the premises of Satmura Police Camp, Belonia, South Tripura on Thursday.

Basudeb Majumdar, Chief Whip of Tripura Legislative Assembly has inaugurated the programme in the presence of dignitaries as Goutam Debnath, District & Sessions Judge, South Tripura, Belonia , C.K Jamatia, D.M South, Amitabha Pal, Addl. SP(South),  Subal Roy , Vice Chairperson of Belonia Munipal Council,  .Smita SDM, Belonia.

While the inaugurator has congratulated South Tripura District Police for taking such initiative, the Chief Guest stated, "In order to ensure our existence on this planate,  we must come forward to plant  and grow more trees".

As the Head of District Police, the Superintendent of Police, South Tripura District motivated all the  personnel to come forward in  order to plant more trees not only in the premises of Government Offices but also in an around their respective  houses.
