AGARTALA, July 27 (TIWN): In a move to gain quality education in Higher Education system of India, UGC has given more powers to Central Universities but with the shifting of the financial liabilities to the Universities.
This financial liabilities may lead to increasing student’s admission fees and semesters-wise fees, whether Universities from now will be able to take financial donations from various sectors.
But whether the fees will be increased or decreased, it has not been known yet, as UGC just sent fresh letters to the all Universities.
However, from experts view the model of education from now onwards will take a better shape as it has been moulded in Western model, likely to increase a high competition of ‘quality teaching’, ‘performance’ among the professors, lecturers.
Tripura University Vice Chancellor Anjan Kumar Ghosh has taken the matter very positively and calling a press conference via power point presentation Ghosh has displayed the letter and the new guidelines of the UGC.
Also there will be an option of taking loans from HEFA for expansion of infrastructure facilities.
