TIWN July 26, 2017
AGARTALA, July 26 (TIWN): After BJP activist Chanmohon Tripura died in February-2017, police had termed him as 'mentally imbalanced', but when the clash emerged in July 19, 2017 among BJP and CPI-M at Chailengta and one teacher Babul Majumder died then Bijan Dhar explained saying that the killers were only BJP as after the murder the activists were found shouting as "Bharat Mata Ki Joy, Modi Ji Zindabad, Manik Sarkar Murdabad" ! Immediately SFI, DYFI, CPI-M, Nari Samiti also came in mass demonstration holding rallies, but Tripura BJP remained silent and remained focused on other issues. When Central Minister Mansukh Mandaviya on July 22 met the victims at GB Hospital then CPI-M again raised question, how a Central Minister can meet party members in a Govt visit ? But state BJP remained silent. Today when the deadbody of BJP martyr Nishikant Chakma arrived at party headquarter, then CPI-M was silent and they do not have any explanation to give for 'who killed Nishikant Chakma' ?
In last 2 months above 50 BJP members had been injured 2 were killed, but BJP's action remained less than what it ought to be.
If Nisikant was a CPI-M activist, then what role CPI-M would play, how much agitation and anti-BJP propaganda Melarmath would launch, state knows it well.
But, standing in this situation 6 months before the poll, BJP's role just remained as a victim in CPI-M ruled Tripura.
From Central Govt also state BJP never received much cooperation, as law and order comes under Home Minister that is leading by Chief Minister Manik Sarkar himself.
Nishikant Chakma, a topmost leader of BJP under Chailengta of Cha-Manu area was killed in a clash with BJP but police's role was quite mute into the case.
Question raises, how Biplab Deb will save his party activists and how many lives BJP families have to sacrifice in coming days before 2018's Election ?
