AGARTALA, July 23 (TIWN): In a special drive, South Tripura Dist police has organized a blood donation camp on Saturday, received huge response.

The blood donation camp was inaugurated by Basudeb Majumdar, the Chief of Tripura Legislative Assembly.

Appreciating the initiative taken by state police, Majumdar said such attempts are really praiseworthy and should be followed.

DM C K Jamatia, Municipal Council’s Vice Chairperson, DFO (South) Harsha Kumar, SDM Smita Mol, SP South Manchak Ippar also shared the dais.

While addressing the gathering SP South said, “Blood donation only saves lives, but it also develops the relation between blood donor and the recipient and thereby develops brotherhood in the society”.

The vote of thanks was given by Add SP Amitabha Pal.

Total 69 blood donators from Dist police were reported after the programme.
