AGARTALA, August 2 (TIWN): The CPIM party today announced the name of the elected representatives of 8 Zilla Parishads & 35 Panchayat Samitis. Party’s State Secretary Bijon Dhar announced the name of the representatives on a Press Meet at CPIM State Office on Saturday. Shri Dhar told, among 8 Zilla Parishads, in South District Sabhadhipati will be Pratima Das & Saha-Sabadhipati will be Pranay Kumar Nath.
In Unakoti District Sabhadhipati will be Kalpana Debnath and Saha-Sabhadipati will be Prasenjit Sinha. In Dhalai Shailesh Acharjee & Nagendra Namasudra, In Khowai Saini Sarkar & Bidyut Bhattacharjee, Sipahijala-Fakruddin Ahmed & Kamal Rani Shil, West- Dilip Das & Manmohini Debnath, Gomati- Suniti Saha & Dinabandhu Das& in South- Himangshu Roy & Naresh Patari.
He also proposed the name of the candidates of chairman and vice chairman is also announced. He said that most of the representatives are experienced & Party expects that they should work for the welfare of the people. Through this they will create a strengthen & progressive atmosphere in the State. They will take oath on 4th August of this month.
Besides these on MGNREGA issue he said that they welcomed the proposed scheme of the Central Govt to give special attention on 16 blocks if it benefits the lower section of the society. Further he added that their demand to increase the days of work on MGNREGA will be same. He also proposed to issue same kind of scheme for the urban people. He welcomed the State’s Joint venture in the issue of Food Security Act.
25 lakhs people will be benefited by this scheme. On the other hand he also greeted Dipa Karmakar on her Splendid achievement & expects that this victory will act as an inspiration for the next generation associated with the sports field.
