AGARTALA, July 10 (TIWN): Tripura School Computer faculties who were discontinued placed a deputation on Monday to the Education Director.
Demanding to make computer education mandatory in every school, to recruit two computer teachers in every school, to stop privatization of computer education in every school, to recruit the 700 teacher who were expelled after the completion of the job tenure deputation to school education Director was placed.
Disappointed gripped the computer faculty members of different schools due to negligence of government which thwarts the development of computer education and information technology-basedcomputer management in the various school of Tripura.
The computer education was launched in various school under ICT scheme supported by central government so as to students could be able to learn computer for the betterment of their life. Initially it was started for the period of 2008 session which was later extended up to the project period of 2010. The first period of the project session of 2008 has already been completed and the session of 2010 is also concluded. When this project was launched, its main object was to educate the students to the school level through the introduction of computer management.
The faculty members had held street meeting and hunger strike in several times to mobilize their members and to pressurize the state government to accept their demand, but in vain. They have demanded that they have a right to get pay in exchange of work. Hence, it is duty of the government to come forward to maintain human right of the faculties who are deprived so that students could be benefited through imparting proper computer education in future.
