KAMALPUR, July 9 (TIWN): The much discussed and much turmoiling Putiacharra NWDPRA Project case seemed to be suppressed by agricultural department with the unresolved embezzlement of 43, 79, 000 rupees. The lots of deprived beneficiaries finding no hope knocking the leaders of trumpeting CPI-M and the promising BJP. In this situation, the non-political organization Deprived Beneficiaries' Joint Forum planned to launch fresh movement in this regard.

Almost two years ago, the looting and embezzlement of funds of Centrally sponsored Putiacharra NWDPRA Project came into light. The implementing officer of the agricultural department as well as CPI-M party leaders of Noagaon Panchayat were found guilty in the embezzlement. Then the beneficiaries formed the non-political organization Deprived Beneficiaries' Joint Forum and launched vehement movement. Primarily, the department admitted the embezzlement of 6,80,000 rupees. A portion of the beneficiaries were given the amount and the implementing officer was suspended and money was recovered from him. But it was only the tip of the iceberg.
Later, the department produced the information through a RTI reply bearing number 2108-10F.1(22-14)-SA/KMP/RTI/2015-16 that in total 46,79,000 rupees were sanctioned for the project. Though the department could not produce the list of all the beneficiaries.

It became clear that, the whole amount got embezzled and gobbled by the implementing officer and the CPI-M goons. The beneficiaries knocked the ruling party's trumpeting leaders as well as the BJP leaders. But all remained mysteriously numbed up. Now, the Forum planned to launch fresh movement shortly.
