AGARTALA, July 7 (TIWN): As the Durga Puja celebrations are coming closer, Power minister Manik Dey held a review meeting with the officials of power department on Friday at Pragna Bhawan to ensure shedding loadshedding free Durga puja.
Addressing the meeting, Power Minister Manik Dey asked the power department officials to come forward with all kinds of necessary arrangements required to make the state load-shedding free during the upcoming Durga Puja fervour.
He further asked the corporation to take up maintenance work to provide smooth power supply during Durga Puja celebrations so that the festive mood is not dampened.
Reportedly, the maintenance works have started in various part of the capital.
He also mentioned that in the process, people will have to face a power-cut for hours in every sub-division where maintenance work would be taken up.
Durga puja will begin on Sept-29 this year.
