UDAIPUR, July 6 (TIWN): A continuous petrol crisis has turned lives miserable for common men at Gomati Dist on Thursday.
Not a single petrol pump is supplying petrol. Asking about the reason, the dealers said that due to Guwahati fuel-strike the crisis happening in Tripura too.
However, customers are unready to accept the logic as they are suffering from petrol crisis since a week whereas the Guwahati strike occurred for a day.
Most importantly, it has nothing to do with Tripura fuel shortage as the supply was not stopped, but it was the Guwahati unit of North East India Petrolium Dealers Association (NEIPDA) has called a 24- hour strike on Monday, whereas the petrol pumps in the city will reopened at 5 am on Tuesday.
Whereas the public is suffering from petrol crisis, in black market the petrol are selling at 3 times more price.
At Udaipur 2 petrol pumps are there but 'No Fuel' in both of those two.Across Kakrabon, Jamjuri, Maharani the conditions are same.
At Amarpur subdivision also 2 petrol pumps left dry.
A heavy clash occurred among petrol pump workers and the consumers when 'No Petrol' sign was hanged.
