AGARTALA, June 26 (TIWN): Northeast state Tripura has celebrated Eid al-Fitr on Monday with full enthusiasm.
Bangladesh border areas people also observing this day with various activities among Indian and Bangladeshi Muslims as exchanging of sweets, gifts etc.
At Indo-Bangla border of Agartala at Akhaura Check-post BSF and BGB also exchanged sweets among them.
Whereas with Pakistan, India is battling for its Kashmir on the other side the relation with Bangladesh has remained united till day.
Eid al-Fitr is an important religious holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide that marks the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting.
In Bangladesh, last year, a week before the Eid-ul-Fitr, 22 people including 17 foreigners were killed in an attack on Holey Artisan Bakery and O' Kitchen, an upscale restaurant at Dhaka's Gulshan. However, reportedly amidst heavy security both the countries are celebrating Eid.
