KOLKATA / AGARTALA, June 26 (TIWN): Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar is accused of sheltering all Chit Fund thugs to enrich CPI-M Party funds. Rose Valley, Sarada, Basil International, I-Core to many other 'Chit Fund' companies were patronized by State CPI-M. PCC Chief Birjit Sinha stressed upon the long awaited CBI inquiry against the Rose Valley Group in Tripura, he said, “Congress demanding the State Govt. to return back the lost & hard earned money of the poor people who invested in chit fund companies.Manik Sarkar, Bijita Nath should resign from their posts imemdiately”. Asking about CBI inquiry, he said, CBI inquiry is very much needed into Rose Valley issue as SIT & Tripura’s CPI-M flavored Police have already failed to investigate properly. The Rose Valley, which is 7 times more than Sarada has looted Tripura’s people miserably. Years and years have been passed, but the case is getting complicated & in Tripura, state’s Chief Minister’s name also came under allegation. Chief Minister Manik Sarkar’s direct involvement in Rose Valley Chit Fund scam quite imminent with fact that prime Govt land was allotted to construct Rose Valley headquarter next to Rabindra Bhavan bypassing all norms & regulations.

Apart from that, Manik Sarkar Govt allotted prime lands all across Tripura to benefit Rose Valley, Basil International, Sarada, I-Core Chit Fund companies so that they can loot Tripura’s hapless people.

However, there are 7 locations in Tripura which was investigated by CBI once, but due to lack of cooperation from Tripura govt. the matter never progressed. Even CPI-M’s Minister Bijita Nath was Rose Valley agent, her brother DolonKanti Nath, who committed suicide were all Rose valley agents.

Already High Court Chief Justice T. Vhaipai ordered SIT to submit fresh affidavit to court with the details of estimations of movable assets of the companies. Earlier Tripura High Court had expressed its displeasure over functioning of Special Investigation Team (SIT) constituted to investigate the cheating cases of Non Banking Financial Companies (NBFC) in the state.

Tripura Social Welfare Minister Bijita Nath on Saturday was gripping in fear for CBI grilling as she has got a CBI notice for interrogation on June 29,2017 in connection with her involvement in Rose Valley chit fund scam.

Manik Sarkar’s chit fund queen said "I do not know what information the CBI official wanted to know from me. I would share information if any thing I know about the Rose Valley chit fund organisation,".

CBI notice told Nath : "It appears that you are acquainted with the circumstances of the case under the Prize Chits and Money Circulation Schemes (Banking) Act, 1978 against the Chairman, Rose Valley Hotel and Entertainment Limited and others."

Earlier there were reports in a section of media that Nath, also holds the Science and Technology and Environment portfolios, was indirectly involved with the Rose Valley chit fund organisation. However, the minister had several times denied the allegations.

The chit fund organisation is now under the scanner of the Enforcement Directorate and the CBI and its sole proprietor and chairman Gautam Kundu was arrested in Kolkata in 2015.

The Tripura High Court last year asked the state government to set up a Special Investigation Team to probe illegal Non Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs) and chit fund organizations.

CBI investigation in Rose Valley Chit Fund scam, Tripura CPI-M Ministers involvement likely to lead communists decimation from Tripura in 2018 assembly polls.
