AGARTALA, June 21 (TIWN): The 7th Battalion TSR has observed its Raising day with full enthusiasm on Wednesday.

Noteworthy, on 21st June, 2000, 7th Battalion TSR (IR-VI) was raised to combat insurgency in the state.

On this auspicious day this morning floral tributes and Guard of Honour was given to the 20 Saheed’s who laid down their lives on 20^th August,2002 at Hirapur, Amarendra Nagar, P.S. Bishramganj.

Wreath was also laid at the Martyr’s Memorial by the Commandant, 7 TSR and all ranks at the Battalion HQr, Jampuijala.

Blood donation camp was organized where 85 TSR personnel of all ranks donated their blood for the needy and the sick people. Carom board competition was also organized among various service companies and all ranks participated in the competition.
